What Is MCPOA?
An organization created to protect the interests of the Monterey Commercial Property Owners. Our goal is to promote a healthy business environment for the success of Monterey’s Commercial Property Owners.
To that end, the organization will:
- Act as a liaison between commercial property owners and the City of Monterey.
- Work to preserve the rights and values of the commercial property owners.
- Advocate the policies necessary to meet these goals.
We have become a working partner with the City of Monterey on several projects which include Calle Principal revitalization plan and the Lighthouse Ave Traffic Comprehensive Circulation Plan.
Association History
Faced with increased legislative and economic challenges, a group of concerned commercial property owners united in 1989 to form the Monterey Commercial Property Owners Association (MCPOA).
The express mission of MCPOA shall be to provide the leadership to preserve and enhance commercial property values and rights, and to diligently and effectively initiate, advocate, and monitor issues which affect commercial property, in order to maintain a balance and to serve the best interests of our community.
